What is the Freedom National paperless text messaging program?
Freedom National has a program whereby you can receive text messages on your mobile device. All text
messages are specific to your policy and they will remind you when you have a bill or policy document available to view online.
How many text messages will I receive?
The message frequency
will vary depending on the activity on your policy, your payment frequency and
your bill-paying habits. You can stop receiving text messages at any time by
sending STOP, END, QUIT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE to 84183.
Will these text messages cost me anything?
Freedom National does
not charge for this service. However, message and data rates may apply. By providing your consent to participate in
this program, the account holder approves any such charges from their mobile
carrier. Charges for text messages may appear on your mobile phone bill or be
deducted from your prepaid balance.
What number will I be receiving the text messages from?
Text messages will come from short code 84183.
How do I stop receiving text messages?
You can stop receiving
text messages at any time by texting STOP, END, QUIT, CANCEL, or
UNSUBSCRIBE to 84183 or by logging into your Freedom National auto
insurance account at FreedomNational.com/secure and changing your
preferences using the "Manage Notifications” link in the left navigation menu.
Which mobile carriers does Freedom National support?
Will the text messaging program work on my phone or device?
Our Freedom National paperless texting service will work provided that: (1) your phone has the ability
to send and receive text messages and (2) your mobile device uses one of these mobile carriers. You may also want to contact your mobile provider or service plan to make sure
your mobile device is text message enabled and that you are aware of and understand any message and data rates that may apply.
Can I choose to receive text messages on more than one mobile device?
No. The Freedom National paperless text message service only supports up to one cell phone number per policy.
I signed up but I'm not receiving any text messages. What could be wrong?
There could be several reasons you are not receiving our text messages. They include, but are not
limited to, the following:
You have text messages enabled on your mobile device, but the use of
"short codes" may be blocked by your mobile carrier, or per your
request. In order to receive Freedom National Policy text messages, you must
have short codes enabled. "Short codes" are special telephone numbers
(usually five to six digits long) that are used to send text messages to/from
mobile phones. They're often used for text messaging services. Please contact
your mobile carrier to make sure that you are allowed the use of short
codes.
Your mobile account is with a carrier that we do not currently
support. We support these mobile carriers.
Your mobile account has been suspended or deactivated. Please contact your
mobile carrier to verify the status of your account.
You've switched mobile carriers or you've changed your phone number. In
order to start receiving text messages again, you'll need to log into your Freedom
National account at FreedomNational.com/secure and re-enroll in the text
messaging program.
Your policy has had no bills due and no activity that would generate a policy document that we need to notify you about. You can check the status of your policy at any time by logging in to your account at https://freedomgeneral.com/secure/
I opted out and I changed my mind. How do I reactivate the text messaging service?
To start receiving Freedom
National Policy text messages again, you must sign up again by logging into your Freedom
National account at https://freedomgeneral.com/secure/. Once signed in, select
"Manage Notifications” from the navigation menu on the left. Enter the cell
phone number you wish to use to receive Freedom National Policy text messages.
You may only enter one cell phone number per policy.
